Genesis (Beginners)

All primary and secondary school children are eligible to participate. Students should bring their bows and arrows. Students are only required to be on the field on Sunday the 7th of April by 1000AST. Shooting for this Division will start promptly at 1100AST.

Categories – U13 and U18

Distance 10 Meters – 80cm Target

All archers will shoot 5 ends of 5 arrows.

Competition format

Athletes are required to be on the field by 1000 on Saturday to complete registration. Shooting will start promptly at 1100 AST for Qualifications.

The qualification phase consists of each archer shooting 30 arrows. Archers will be ranked by their total score and then seeded for brackets for Eliminations.

The matchplay phase will consist of archers progressing through head-to-head brackets, one for each gender, in which the winner of each match advances and the loser is eliminated until a champion is crowned. Matches are decided on cumulative score.

Recurve/Compound will be Open 

All shooters – Distance 18 Meters – 3 – Spot 40CM Target

All archers will shoot 10 ends of 3 arrows in two sets on Qualification day

Competition format

The qualification phase consists of each archer shooting 60 arrows. Archers will be ranked by their total score and then seeded for brackets for Eliminations.

The matchplay phase will consist of archers progressing through head-to-head brackets, one for each gender and discipline, in which the winner of each match advances and the loser is eliminated until a champion is crowned. Recurve matches will be decided using the set system, while compound matches are decided on cumulative scores.
